Supervisor, who will cost $2,945; we must tell them.) There is also a vote of $20,000 for the Chinese High School "and other improvements in the Educational
system"; the Governor ought to be told not to be in a hurry to spend this. On the other hand, they save $6,800 odd by the closing of the Belilios Reformatory. There is nothing here to criticise.
Medical Departments. Increase, $82,200, or 56%. $27,000 is exchange compensation, and $4,100 is due to placing salaries on a sterling basis. The
